Visit of delegation of municipalities and cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Delegation of representatives of municipalities Dubica, Ljubiški, Žepče, Kostajnica and Teslic, Association of Towns and Municipalities of the Republic of Srpska, as well as representatives of the project team GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation), visited Indjija.

The hosts of this meeting were the Mayor of Indjija Petar Filipovic, Deputy Mayor Milan Bodiroža, director of the Economic Development Agency of Indjija, Dragan Jankovic, and Director of IT, GIS and communications agency, Mile Bodrožić.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Indjija, Petar Filipovic said that this is not the first time that other municipalities delegation are visiting Indjija to get familiar with the system of local governance.

"Our guests had the chance to see some things that we've done well, when it comes to local governance and investment policy, and I hope you will apply what they see - as Indjija has good things to show," said Petar Filipovic and further pointed out that representatives of more than 100 municipalities in recent years come to be familiar with the work "System 48".

"Some have implemented the 'system' in their administrations, each in his own way tried to implement it, but what disappoints me is that in most municipalities there was no political will to apply that system," said Filipovic.

"Our goal is to try to 'Overwrite' positive experiences. This visit takes place within the SLS project (Strengthening of Local Self-Government), and the project to strengthen local government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, funded by the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), "said Dragan Misic Head of the Municipal Development of Teslić.

„Magazine 'Financial Times' recommended Indjija as one of the most favorable environment for investors. We know that you had more than 500 million euros in foreign investment last year, and we are trying to see how your local government has managed to become attractive and to attract foreign investors, " said Dragan Misic.
