Mayor of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, has signed an
agreement with the representative of company „Quass“, Duško Zdjelar, on the
construction of a new factory for quass and soft drinks production. At the
begining raw material will be imported from Russia, but investor has a plan to
make a deal with local fruit producers for factory supplying.
„Quass“ company is going to invest about EUR 4.5
million in production in Indjija. On the land which covers an
area of more than 2 hectares, 5,000 m2 factory is going to be
built.
In the first phase factory will produce 4
million glass bottles and the goal is the production to be tripled in next 2
years after production starts. Mr. Zdjelar said that Indjija is the best
location for investment and that was the reason why „Quass“ has decided to run
its business in Indjija. „I would like to thank to local authorities on their professional
attitude from the start and I hope that they
will provide a support for our investment. Besides geographical location, existing
infrastructure was the main reason why we came to invest in Indjija,“ Mr.
Zdjelar pointed out.
At the final phase of factory building new 100
jobs will be created. „Every new workplace is great success for our municipality.
This investment is one more example that Indjija has the best business
environment and that we offer the best conditions for all investors. I am
convinced that „Quass“ will, as every other company which invested in Indjija,
expand its production capacity sooner than they were planning,“ said Mr. Gak.
Building of factory will start in about a
month.
