Slankamenacki Vinogradi

Well preserved tradition in the Municipality of Indjija also can be seen in Slankamenacki Vinogradi. Founded at the end of the 19th century on east slopes of Fruska Gora Mountain, this picturesque settlement is the youngest and the smallest one in the Municipality of Indjija.

The story about founding this settlement is interesting because at first it was a weekend settlement of vine growers and gradually it grew into a permanent settlement. It is inhabited by Slovaks (90% of population are Slovaks) whose specific culture, customs, traditional cloths, way of life and folklore, attract more and more tourists.

The preserved tradition and culture of the Slovaks, their specific gastronomy, home-made wines from Slankamen vineyards and kindness of the hosts are something that should not be missed.
